What We Are About

What we are about....

Our Mission: Facilitate self care by enabling people to escape to outdoor destinations, engaging in ‘green therapy’ collectively to benefit their mental and physical wellbeing.

Our Philosophy

Making a difference

We are passionate about engaging with the natural setting, and history, of our forested, moorland and upland destinations. We know how taking time to explore these destinations brings people together, families, friends, work colleagues and strangers alike, refreshes lives, focuses minds and thinking and helps recalibrate priorities like nothing else.

We understand how the variety these destinations offer provide opportunities to challenge oneself, to rise to those challenges, to de-stress at times of pressure, to see issues more clearly, to connect with others, to communicate more openly, to benefit from enhanced self esteem and physical and mental wellbeing and to gain a deeper appreciation of the environment.

Our long term aim is to play a part in promoting positive mental and physical health across communities.

Working With You

Having an Impact

We don’t offer off the shelf solutions. Instead we engage with you to better understand your journey and the benefits you are seeking. By listening we are well placed to develop a tailored programme that meets you where you are and takes you to where you want to be. We do this by working with you to design a programme that facilitates self care by enabling people to escape to outdoor destinations, engaging in ‘green therapy’ collectively to benefit their mental and physical wellbeing. We have the connections and experience to ensure your people really benefit from the time invested in visiting your chosen locations, be they forests and lowland (for a different day out), accessible moorland (for unique experiences) or rewarding uplands (for soft adventure).

We have impact because we:

  1. Provide safe and purposeful shared experiences that enable people to positively invest in their own self care and important relationships.
  2. Provide the space to escape from life’s stresses, reflect and cultivate values and behaviours beneficial for positive physical and mental wellness.
  3. Help people to grow in confidence, promoting greater levels of self esteem and strengthening emotional resilience.
  4. Create unique experiences that promote ‘naturally enthusiastic’ engagement with the environment.
  5. Provide a bridge for Walking for Health groups and organisations to expand their activities.
  6. Encourage people to develop a lifelong relationship with their favourite outdoor destinations.
  7. Offer the space for organizations and communities to engage with and support each other
  8. Help set the conditions in which leaders and teams gel to see challenges through a new lens, encouraging creativity and building relationship and trust.
  9. Partner with other organisations to maximise the significance of these experiences.
